Adult Neurology Residency Program

Adult neurology residents rotate through LAC+USC Medical Center, USC University Hospital, and Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles. Residents may also elect to rotate through Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center.

General Structure of the Program

Residents largely divide their time between taking care of inpatients and attending ambulatory continuity clinics. All residents are required to complete a total of three months of pediatric neurology (for Board eligibility) and a neuropathology rotation. There are ample opportunities for elective rotations and research. Throughout the course of training residents attend a half-day continuity clinic located on the grounds of the LAC+USC Medical Center (LAC+USC). During the second year, residents also rotate through the epilepsy ambulatory clinic one half-day per week. Additional ambulatory clinic experience is gained through a specialty rotation and various elective rotations. While at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, residents also attend the pediatric neurology ambulatory clinic three half-days per week.
