Rebif® New Formulation Tolerability Trial

Status:
CLOSED. Study Activities Ongoing

Sponsors:
Serono

Type of Study and Brief Description:
A randomized, two arm, open-label, 12 week phase IIIb study to evaluate the tolerability of Rebif® (IFN beta-1a) New Formulation and Betaseron® (IFN beta-1b) in subjects with relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis; followed by a single-arm, 24 week, Rebif®-only safety extension.

Background:
In this trial we hope the detect and measure an increased tolerability to the new formulation of Rebif®. The new formulation of Rebif® should be more tolerable than the presently approved medication. As a proven standard medication for RRMS, a more tolerable formula will lead to better patient compliance.
